First Quarter's Finals DONE!
You said it Pip! Finals are really over! Don't have grades in yet, but I don't think I've failed any classes yet! Hooray! I'll be hanging out around Seattle for a few more days before heading back to LA the night of the 19th. I'll be there until the 26th, when I take a bus back up to the Bay Area! Miss that place so much. Then back to Seattle on the 29th for more fun and adventures!

Finals suck!
But Secret Santa doesn't! Actually, Secret Santa was a few days ago, but I am pretty behind on stuff. Had a pretty fun party down at Jamie's very swanky (temp) downtown apartment. Makes me jealous of people who can get jobs at nice places like Amazon which have good perqs. And now on to the pictures!
Jamie getting read to cut the cheese. I wasn't going to use that joke at first, but she started it, so now I have to keep it going!
Panoramic view of the room. Starting from left....
To center.....
To right. Of course, I'm at the center of the room. Like always.
Making eggnog. I love it when people try to duck to get out of the way of pictures. Just makes me want to take the picture more.
I tried to get some cool action shots of making eggnog. None of them really worked out.
Of course cupcakes makes any event happier!
Gift time! I got a Cyanide and Happiness book from Angela. Best comic strip ever. But prepare to be offended.
The lighting there sucked, so the pictures are kinda blurry. But see all that mess down there? That's all me :) I made my gift for Elisabet as hard to open as possible. A few aspects of it didn't work out as planned, but overall, it worked out pretty well. Lessons learned for next time :)
Sarah and her tea mug and tea bags. Oddly enough, we ended up sitting in almost the exact order as the Secret Santas were revealed.
Lola's baking pan and mix.
Emily got one of he coolest gifts of the night, a bowl handpainted with St Louis Cardinals logos. Now that is a personal gift.
Jamie and her edibles.
Katie and her measuring cup and matching frog clips.
And more gifts for Katie for her upcoming wedding! We got her a few gifts off her registry - a clock, picture frame, and light bulbs :)
And that's a wrap!
And because it's been a while, random cat time!
Pip has claimed my bean bag chair from me.
And in real life... 2 finals down, 2 more to go, then back to California!

Go Seahawks!
My plan today was to go to the library and get some work today. Obviously that didn't happen. My friend was swamped with work and couldn't go to the Seahawks vs Panthers game as planned. And of course, I can't turn down an opportunity like that!
All the way up from the nosebleed section! Qwest field sure is nice though, much more modern than the Oakland Coliseum.
Matt didn't hear me when I said I was going to take a picture, so he kept yelling. Oh well.
Sporting my California jacket because I don't have any Seahawks gear.
Finals on Friday. Next week will be interesting. Will be MIA for most of it. And after that, back to California!

Gobble Gobble!
Very late post Thanksgiving post! Elisabet hosted a potluck at her place. And like all good Thanksgivings, there was waaaay too much food.
For 6 people, this is a ridiculous amount of food. Oh, and there are a few pans of backup that we didn't even get too. Good stuff.
Weren't expecting a picture right then were you?
Olive, one of the cutest dogs ever, lives there. You have to see her in person.. .her fur looks (and feels) just like a stuffed dogs!
Classmate Kailee and her brother Kent.
Classmate Katie and her fiancee Greg.
Proof that I was there! And a dead bird. Which is now mostly gone.
Making whipped cream for the pie. And hoping that it doesn't explode.
Nothing says glutton like 2 pies for dessert!
Stabbing said pies.
This has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. I just like this picture. On a side note, I got ride of the old collar (you can see a piece of it dangling here) for a breakaway collar with reflective stripes and a bell on it. Don't have any pictures of him wearing it right now, but I will soon.

I'm Dreaming of a White... Thanksgiving?
So the snow should stick around until Thanksgiving... when it rains and turns into slush! Woo hoo! It sure is cold for now though... 18 degrees right now, gonna drop down to around 17 for a low tonight. Never gonna complain about 40 degree weather anymore after this.
Sun came out today though, and with the snow, it was beautiful! Even better, school was canceled! My first time ever snowed in from class!
Bonus points if you can spot my car.
Nearby Ravenna Park... turned into a huge snow field!
There were a bunch of kids sledding down the park. I wanted to join so badly.
Afterwards, I went back onto campus for some shots of ...
Red Square! Not so red anymore with the snow. Mt. Ranier was still completely clouded over unfortunately.
George Washington was not amused that class was canceled.
Pip was amused playing with the curtain cords though.
And he likes looking at the snow.
Hi Pip!
Thanksgiving in 2 days! And end of the quarter in 3 weeks! It's all moving so fast now...

It's SNOWING!!!!
Actually it started yesterday.... but just a very very light sprinkle.
Which you can see if you squint. You can also admire my car at the same time. Then I wake up today to see...
Now that's more like it!
Snow on campus!!! Red Square was decidedly un-covered in snow unfortunately, but a lot of other parts were. And sorry about the snowballs Sarah.... couldn't help myself :)
I like this shot because it makes it look like the whole campus is buried under snow.
Our daily walk to the Rotunda suddenly becomes a lot more fun (for me, not for everyone else) with snow!
Unless of course you find ways to make it fun!
Same car, a bit over 24 hours later. What a difference that makes...
The snow is probably only gonna last another day or two, the cold front will be passing soon and temperatures will be back up in the 40's with rain by the end of the week. Still, it was fun while it lasted!

Long time no see...
Yeah, I'm not very good about updating this thing. Got my last midterm coming up tomorrow, but I don't feel like studying right now.
Been pretty cold lately... temperatures in the 40's, with rain and wind. Maybe snow soon too! That would be fun.
Going to see Harry Potter 7 after the midterm tomorrow!... even though I've only seen the first and 6th movies. Oh well....
I found an elevator with with a -1 floor! The Health Sciences Building sure is a mess, reminds me of Dwinelle.

Cats like boxes
And I have a take home midterm due tomorrow, which is why I've been MIA for the past week. Spent most of it at my friend's place at Northgate. Yay for study parties! Either way, it will all be over tomorrow, finally.
And since I have nothing better to post, cat time!
